Hello!

I have started the process through sao paulo on the 13 of september. on the 15 of october, my wife was approved as my sponsor.
from that date, we didn`t hear anything from the the visa office. I can`t see any kind of INFO on the E-Cas, not even with her info.

Is there anyone in the same/similar situation to us ? do you have any news ? do you know the processing time in sao paulo ??

Thanks!

Sao Paulo did send us an AOR letter (to my husband in Brazil)...have you received one yet?

Thanx for your info and good luck to you !!

As you, my husband was approved as sponsor on Oct. 5th and until today we did not get the AOR from Sao Paulo's Consulate. Do you have any news about it?

Just wanted to say "welcome!"...There arent so many from São Paulo, so I like it when I see any! If you want to learn lots about the process, look up this guy iarblue, he was an expert and went through São Paulo. Read his posts, you will learn so much!

Tchau

Hi there,

Did you guys use the online police certificates? Any issues with that?

Thanks,

We used online certificates for 2 out of the 3. We even asked the consulate in Sao Paulo and they said it was ok!

Cheers!

Oi gente,

I'm applying from Sao Paulo as well, even though I've been living in Paris for the past 3 years. It seems that in the Parisian VO processing times are rather fast for the French, but not for the foreigners who apply from here, so I decided to apply from home...

I'm just wondering how long it takes in practice, since official processing times are established at 6-10 months but I have friends who have had their PR in 4 or 5 months through family class sponsorship.

What is your experience? Do you think that the fact that I have been living abroad will delay the processing of my application?

Abraços!

Hi Agga

Well, I am sponsoring my husband from Sao Paulo, and so far it has been almost 4 months since we sent the papers and no news yet, although I did have an email from the consulate asking for 1 more document they needed that is issued by Quebec, where we live so I guess that it is very encouraging.

The other thing that is encouraging with Brasil is that when I sent an email to the consulate trying to find out if they had received our package they responded the same day! and of course their low refusal rate of only 2% is not bad either.

Me and leroadrunner both applied on the same day, so I am sure we will share the news once it happens.

I guess it will be a great way to compare 2 cases at the same time.

Good luck!

I'll be living in Quebec too. May I ask what document they asked you to send them?

I'm very bad at waiting, now anything on this subject makes me freak out.

Its the CSQ, certificat de selection du Quebec, which u can only apply for after your sponsor has been approved

I had been warned about that one. I thought they wanted an yet additional document... How long did it take for them to send you the CSQ? Should be fast, right?

Oh yes, it was pretty fast, it took them about 2 weeks to send it.
