Please guys, can u guys explain to me about the Certificado de Cíveis e Criminais: Is it a certificate issued by the Federal Justice in each state? The link in the CIC site is not working...
For exemple, if i am from SP should I get this certificate in this link http://www.jfsp.jus.br/ ?
I really need to know if this is the correct one before submiting...

Hello everyone!!

I'm new here but I've been "In Process" since January 15th. This is nerve wracking!! Haven't decided yet whether those forums help or just make us even more confused and insecure, since each case is different.
Anyway, I'm here of course killing myself over why have other people with basically the same timetable as mine gotten their passport request, but not me...
So does anyone think that they prioritize the processes of people who aren't in Canada yet over those who already are (my case?). By that I mean, since I'm already with my husband and working here in Canada (on a work permit), I'm not a case of family reunion.
Please share your thoughts!!

I don't think so. I was in Canada with my husband all the time and it took us 9 months, including when they asked for more documents and fbi request, which I assume the mistake.

It was fine!

The line was not that long and it took me like 30 minutes max.
They just confirmed some info as well asked for some more questions regarding the relationship and security.

After that, it looked like I was going to school with a lot of materials from the here.

Theres just one thing i didnt get about the validity of the permanent immigrant visa!
