Hi,

My security company has a building contract in Vancouver, BC. I did my internship of 4 months (January 2018 - April 2018) as a regular security guard. After that, I started working as a security guard with that same company and building from (May 2018 - August 16, 2018). I got promoted as a Security Supervisor. Started working August 2018 - April 26, 2019 as a supervisor.

Now the company hired a new supervisor for the building and made me as a regular guard again.

My supervisor pay was $20 per hour but now reduced to regular security guard which is $16. I also received $16 before becoming a supervisor.

I have a 2018 T4 and all pay stubs that paid me $16 and $20.

Now, should I look for a new job as a security supervisor or I should be good as a security guard. I did the same duties before and now it is just the title and pay rate that changed.

job duties;

My job duties are the following:
1. Access control to the building
2. Program access cards for the building tenants
3. Provide customer service
4. Check and review CCTV footages
5. Cooperate with law enforcement for incidents happened
6. Train other new guards for the job duties on site
7. Maintain communication with building managers
8. Create incident reports
9. Resolve/help with tenant problems
10. Do security patrols of the building
11. Email/reply to tenant and building managers email

Please help me with what i can do. should I continue working as a regular security guard or find a supervisory position? does wage matter?
