Hello everyone,

Thank you very much for this useful forum. This is my first post and I have a question which I hope to find an answer to. The question is:

If a permanent resident received a RQ for the citizenship application (despite meeting the 1095 days requirement), would he/she receive a RQ in case he/she decided to renew his/her PR card?

CIC can issue a RQ in both Citizenship and PR renewal applications.

I vaguely remember reading in a forum may have been this one that someone applied to sponsor their spous, it was suspected they had not met the residence obligation and they got RQ'd.

Yes it was me I,got rq as I applied for my spouse n child sponsorship. Everything is fine after tht with the,grace of God. So basicall rq can be issued,whenever they feel like,residency requirments r not met
