RQ Received before the test all applicants welcome care to share your time lines

I am in Ontario. My application was transferred to St.Clair from Scarborough already. I thought that would speed up the process but no, still waiting.

I guess the guy is very lucky, considering the retest and interview with the judge (which would usually take longer wait), he still got it in 2 years! Can you imagine getting RQ in two years ha ha oh Gosh...like a bad dream.

Yolka, you might got a initial review, cuz this guy and your time line look like the same. they are treating every applicant differently. basis on their merits.. however as per the guy I know, he did not encounter any RQ, even after couple of attempt, one failed the test, second failed in front of CJ's, he suppose to get a RQ, but no he got another chance to write a test.

No news since then. CIC says my application is still in process. I tried involving my MP's office, who informed me that they contacted CIC and who in turn made reference to the RQ.

What was the reason for them to issuing a RQ to your application.

There are many variables for processing time that have little to do with the merit of the applicant.

-The specific time period during which they applied for citizenship (i.e. if processing of one's application start during the height of the RQ glut - May-Nov 2012)
-Whether the CIC is randomly fast-tracking certain applications for training or testing purposes as happened with the "Lucky 600" http://residencequestionnaire.wordpress.com/rq-triage-2013/
- What local office is processing their application (i.e. Windsor applications are often fast)
- How many citizenship judges are assigned to the applicants' region
- Which officer one's case is assigned to (presumably)
- Political considerations (i.e. if there were another sovereignty referendum, Québec applications would likely be fast-tracked like in 1995 when 11,429 Qc applicants were approved in a single month)

In my opinion, there are so many unknowns and variables in the process that it's hard to assume that processing speed has a clear correspondence to the merit of the applicant. Some cases may be harder to prove than others. For instance, a stay-at-home parent may have less documentation of primary residence than their spouse who is working full time. This does not mean the stay-at-home parent has less of a right to citizenship than their spouse.

Your timeline is so long, did you contacted them at all, where is your file, where it is about ?

I called CIC early this year (2013) and they told me they received my RQ paper but nothing more. I don't know where my file is and WHY I got RQ.
I called CIC on Aug 2012 and found out they did not update my address when I called on Dec 2011 of changed address.

I have also called cic, and the lady over the phone, told me now a days everyone will get RQ, if they find a small misrepresentation. out 100 aplication 95 applicant will get RQ, this is for everyone, they would not tell you the reason.
This is what happened to me, due to the cic technical glitch, my date of birth is different, i have phone them to clear this error, even it wasn't my mistake, i have to call them and fix that error.
