Hi there guys,

Is there anybody here the same status as me? May 16, 2013 CIC sent me a request email to pay my RPRF, renew the police certificate of my spouse, re-do their medicals.
We did it the same month. Is there anybody here have an idea or have an experience how long we still have to wait before the Passport Request.
Any input would be a big help. Thank you in advance :)

Hi there,

Yes, I know that. My spouse and daughter had their re-medicals on May 27 and it was submitted on June 19 according to the clinic. We also sent the police certificate of my spouse a month ago. So hopefully, I can hear a passport request any time very soon.

Goodluck also :)

Hi Chie! Currently in a similar situation... Husband who's presently working in BC received an email last month requesting us to pay our RPRF and redo our medicals (son and I here in the Philippines) excluding him. The only difference is that we were not told to renew our police certificates, just pay RPRF and retake medicals. Retook our medicals here in the Philippines, and it's running its third week since Friday.

I knew a person who has redone his 2nd medical(reason was because its almost expiring), and was requested to submit his passport almost 4weeks soon after he finished his 2nd medical exam. :) Just sharin' cause that really inspired me! Hang on, we're close to our PPR! God bless! :)

HTH. :)

Hi,

Thank you for reply. Same here I am working in BC and my husband is there in the Philippines as well as my daughter. They re-did their medicals on May 27 and according to the IOM they submitted the results on June 19, 2013.
Question, 4weeks after the date of the medicals or 4 weeks after the clinic submitted the results.
Yes, we are pretty close to received our passport requests. Salamat Kabayan :)

I did mine on May 28, 2012 and my family did theirs sometime in June I can't remember the exact date. They requested my families medical again because it is expiring.

Hi!

Based on your disclosed dates, technically, your medical were the one to be expired before the request for your family, right? Same as ours, my husband took his--July 31 2012, and ours(son and I) were done August 24, 201.. So basically if expiration dates were the real issue here(in our case), they should have first requested you guys there in Canada right? But as i get it just now, (correct me if im wrong), is there a possibility they requested us (families outside canada) to redo our medicals, just to create additional reasons for these delays? :(( I just hope and pray not.. :( (that'd be so unfair to us)

Hi guys.

I recently received a "Remainder" email to pay RPRF although I never received a request before. The email also said:

"Please note that if you delay the payment of the RPRF, your security or medical results may expire, which would delay the issuance of your visas. We therefore encourage you to pay the RPRF as soon as possible, by following these steps..."

I wasn't asked for another medical yet, but our medicals expire August 4 and I'm pretty sure they will go ahead and ask for one. I feel it's very unfair for me to pay another $900 for me and my wife to get a second medical because they're slow, on strike or whatever.

Have you heard any cases where they don't ask you for another medical/security clearance?

Also, if they somehow do issue my visa before August 4, which is unlikely, but I cannot enter Canada from the US before that date, do the medicals automatically expire or what?

Thank u all!

Hi Brebu,

I received a similar reminder email on June 18 even though i paid the fees in april. It's a good thing if they dont mention anything to you about your medicals, It automatically means that they have extended the validity of your medicals. My medicals expired in june 2013 but I wasnt asked to redo it. I wasnt asked to send a new PCC either. I think they ask for new medicals/PCC for the people living outside of North America. Hope this helps :)

You can email the immigration and ask. They are pretty nice in answering the emails especially when you are beyond the processing times
