RPRF Fees - File Transferred. Makes me wonder ?

I just received a request for RPRF. According to CIO NS my file has been transferred for further review. I am was wondering if it is a usual routine for files to get transferred to CPP-Ottawa because the CIO NS office seems quite prompt in replying and reciprocating. I have to renew my passport now. My other question was, is it CPP-Ottawa that will perform my background check ?

yes files are processed and finalized at the CPP-OTTAWA.
CIO is just a centralized intake office,they do not run admissibility and eligibility check therefore the do not issue visas and confirmation of permanent residence.

my question is hey send me this email after 45 days i go for my medical and one day before cic also called my employer to verify my jobs and job details and after verifying they send me this email regarding my file transferred to CPP-OTTAWA for further review.i am just curious what they did with my file for tht 45 days after medical.,if they completed security and background check or not?

After a long wait, now my application status has been changed to "In Process" from Application Received. They received my application on July 18 and I did my medical on Sept 26. Any idea, how long is it going to take approximately? What is the next step? When they will ask me to pay my RRPF? Please share your experience. Thanks.

In my case my application changed to "In Process" since Dec 4th, but I haven't received the RPRF.

Should I pay it ?
