Hi Everyone.

I have a question that is bugging me. I submitted my application without paying RPRF. I only paid the application fee. I have not yet received a request for RPRF. Is it possible for me to pay it right now, anyway? Will that somehow speed up the process? I assume it will since that would take the time taken by CIC to send me a request and wait for my response out of the equation.

Thanks for your help.

You can pay your RPRF right now if you want. There is no harm, Yeah ofcourse if you pay now you need not wait for them to send a request and can save you some time there. good luck.

Hey thanks for your response. How can I pay it now?

Here is the link.
https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/welcome.do?lang=en

This is the procedure:
Read the instructions on each page, and click “Continue” to proceed
 Select the “Immigration” link, followed by “Right of Permanent Residence Fee”
 Enter the number of fee payments (1 or 2) in the box beside the fee of $490
 Click “Submit”
 Proceed to pay your fees by selecting “Pay” and then follow the instructions to pay with Visa, American Express or Mastercard.

You can create a new account for this purpose and after the payment they provide you with a soft copy of the receipt, which you can upload to your application through CSE.
Good luck.

Thank you so much!

Does paying it prior to the request have any quirks or complications that I should be aware of? I may be doing the same thing right now, actually.

Not really. I paid mine upfront and the only difference is that you never receive the payment request later on.

Assuming your application has basically been approved and they are just waiting for you to submit your payment, I only see a possible upside of it saving you maybe a week or two on your way to PPR.

Other than that, there is really mo difference between paying in advance or only after you receive the request.
