Hey guys, when you paid the right of residence fee, did you send any proof of payment and where did you send it? Thank you.

did they ask u already to pay?

No, not yet, my husband was thinking to pay the fee. Should I wait for them to ask me to pay?

usually u have to do what they ask and when they ask

uhm .. we paid everything up front .. including the residence fee.. i heard it avoids further delays..

Hi everyone! I really need any support here :(
I am from Romania and my husband from Canada. We are still expecting an answer about our application from April 2013. My husband made the sponsorship application in February 2013 and in April 2013 the documents arrived in Bucharest, from that point we didn't received any news at all :( In all this time I sent 2 e-mails to the embassy, but the answer was the same:

Dear Madam,
Please be advised that your application is currently going through the required assessment process. This office’s current service standard for applications in the category in which you have applied is 14 months. The processing times are listed on the Government of Canada website
You will be contacted once we are ready to pass to the next stage of processing or if additional information is requested of you.
Please be assured that we dedicate all our efforts to processing the applications as quickly as possible.

My answer is what can we do?

Thanks!

Wait. In June youu will have 14 months.

I know, i know but all this waiting is so frustrating :( and i don't know why but i have this feeling that we will no get any answer in June :( Anyway, thanks for your answer :)

do u have kids? how old are u? maybe there is something that slows down the process.

probably something slows down the process.. another applicant from here (Betina) received her visa in 9-10 months i believe? they also state that 50% of all apps are processed within 9 months.. you could try to order your CAIPS/GCMS notes to see exactly what may be the problem. good luck and i wish you get your visa soon! stay strong!

There is a change on the website: no longer says 80% percent of applications

This information is updated weekly (step 1) and quarterly (step 2) and shows the time it takes to process an application after we receive a complete application package.

There are two steps in processing family sponsorship applications. In order to know the total approximate time it may take for your application to be processed, ADD the time in step 1 to the time in step 2 (the two steps are consecutive).

Hi, Svetlana!

We don't have kids yet! And yes we are quite young ... I am 34 years old and my husband 41... Hmmm maybe this is the problem...

Hi, CutiePie92. In June we will have 14 months of waiting and my medical exams I think are expired.. I will have to learn about Caips/Gcms because I don't know what that means and what is the procedure... Thanks for response!
