I'm a UK citizen - over here in Canada with my wife just visiting while PR is in being processed

Anyway been in Canada for a month we just went to Bellingham to do some shopping on our way back into Canada - the boarder officer asked my status my wife said I was just visiting and we have started PR

He said let me check - he did something on his machine 5 minutes later said all looks good then stamped my passport with todays date - the same type of stamp I get at a airport

Has that reset my visitor entry giving me another full 6 months from today?

Nothing was written under the stamp looks like the same entry stamp I get arriving at the airport...

Hi , I just went to buffalo trying to get my mom another 6 months here. Weird thing happen she didn't get her passport stamp at all. And I still don't understand why. S I guess we will apply for an extension.

It means she was readmitted to Canada under her current stay (rather than being given a new stamp and being able to start the six month count from scratch). This can often happen if you visit the US for a short period.
