Hi everyone. I got my PR in 2022 and completed my soft landing the same year. After getting my PR I was diagnosed with cancer and decided to stay back in my country for treatment. My intention was to avoid putting burden on the Canadian health care while I could get my insurance to cover the cost of my treatment in my country. Now I want to move to Canada since my condition is stable. But I have less than 2 years validity on my PR card (expires in November 2027). I have read that if I attempt to enter without meeting my residency obligations, they can trigger a removal notice at the border. I want to start living and working in Canada and I dont want to lose my PR status because of my illness. My tentative date to move is around August 2026. If I request extension of my PR under humanitarian grounds, can they revoke my PR altogether due to my sickness? What are my options now? Can someone please help me?

You are good if you have solid proof of your treatment/diagnosis and also you are not able to move until August 2026 specifically due to your treatment/diagnosis. You will be allowed to enter anyway with a possibility for H&C.
But is it possible that they can revoke my PR based on my medical condition? I would like to reiterate that I was diagnosed after I was granted my PR. My medicals submitted for my PR application was clean. Can you also clarify if I should seek H&C approval now before I proceed to move or should I move and if stopped at the airport, then explain my case?
Your PR status cannot be revoked due to your diagnosis if you were diagnosed after you became a PR and you didn't misrepresent it during your PR processing.
It's much safer to seek H&C from within Canada.
