Right of Residence Fee

Hi,

I'm about to pay my fees online and I see a Right of Residence Fee for $490 in addition to the CEC fee of $550. Do I have to pay the $490? I don't see this being asked when I printed out the fee form if I were to pay by credit card or certified cheque and include that with my application.

I'm confused and I need to post this application this week. PLease help!

You only pay the right of residence fee when your application is at the final stage of approval (passport request).
