I hold a valid work permit in Canada. My multiple-entry visa expired. I will travel to US only and return to Canada by air.
By this rule:

I can re-enter Canada.
My actual question is: Suppose anything happened, Canadian boarder do not allow me to enter Canada. Should I (1) stay in US to apply for Canada visa? or (2) buy a air ticket to my home country (Asia). Who should pay for the airfare if I need to return to my home country?
