Hi all,

My work permit expired in February and under suggestion of my lawyer I applied for an extension (before it expired) to get implied status during the decision period.
I received via email a rejection of extension on the 1st of June but I only opened the email today (3rd) so on the 2nd I worked (today I didn't). Will this day of unauthorized work nullify the possibility of restoration of status? I want to restore it as a visitor and other than that there is nothing in my situation that would prevent me from getting the restoration.

Thanks for any feedback

No, one day is understandable.

If you want to play it safe ask your employer not to pay you for the worked day and tender your resignation with a past date. This would be overkilling it though.
