Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi everyone,

I received an email from Canadian embassy in Damascus with an attachment called " RESIDENCY QUESTIONNAIRE ".
This question confuse me a little bit:

"""""""""""
7) Is your sponsor currently employed in Canada?

NO, my sponsor is currently not employed.

YES - If yes, you must complete the details below:

name, address, etc
''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

Well I am the sponsor whom is living with my wife (the principle applicant). I have a full time job but it's in Iran not Canada!

1. So should I check yes then explain where it is?

2. Do we have to mail it to them or scan a signed copy and email it back?

3. DHL does not ship to PO BOX, if on their website says :

Street Address
Lot 12, Autostrade Mezzeh
Damascus, Syria

Postal Address
Embassy of Canada
P.O. Box 3394
Damascus, Syria

Cam I put the street address for mailing?

4. What the @ @ #$#$# did they even send this @ ##$ @ # letter? They have all the info, they know we live together, they know I am Canadian Citizen, (they checked that in Mississauga), I personally think this a waste of time and just want to know if we are still serious about sponsorship.

Thank you so mcuh and sorry for a long question.
Cheers

Hi coolamir

I think that form is a part of procedure, some others received it too... I guess they send it for those who does not prove their residency in Canada...
if you are a Canadian citizen I think it's OK and you can check NO... but if you are a PR then I really don't know what to say because you suppose to be in Canada..
You should mail it ... in some emergency cases they may accept the scanned version but the original one is always needed.
The street address is OK, I used it before, both from Iran and Canada... but you can also check it in the DHL central branch in Tehran (daftare markazi ), I heard they have the Damascus visa office address..

What is your time line, when did you apply?
you can join us in the threat for Damascus applicants...
