Hello,

I am confused about the item 11 of the A-1520-AA (2015-11) form.
It says:

"Temporary resident status in a country other than your country of citizenship or permanent residence"
"Residence permit or stay document with a cumulative validity covering at least on year, issued by authorities of the country or territory where you currently reside."

I currently live in Montreal. Have been here since January 2014. At first on a study permit and now work permit (PGWP).
My visa was issued with a 1 year validity (despite my study program being longer). However, it's 7 months from expiring. Does it mean I cannot submit it?

Is this question referring to covering 1 year including the time that has passed or do I need it to be valid for 1 year MORE from the time I apply?

Thank you very much.
