normally if u look for people who r already there and have a vacancy. u can do that by looking on various websites like craiglist for ur local area, kijiji etc. alternatively u can go to ur college website and they normally have housing assistance group or webpage with information. It becomes easier once u reach canada. U cannot rent an apartment from ur home country well u shouldnt rent until u see the apartment and verify what is included in rent etc

there are different websites listed on 'living in canada' . u can find some useful ones there. the most popular one kijiji.com
you can find different accomodations there. But make sure u dont pay up anything upfront and only pay once u have inspected the room and the utilities available .

Thank u @mead and @rishi paul.. What if I don't able to find out residence online...as I am left with very less time due late visa approval.... Are there other way ...??

@ pinitish
m sure u will find one
but as mead said , u can always find good deals once u land there as u meet other people and u might even get some people to share the accomdation .

@mead: could u please elaborate a little more on this booking hostel , as it seems quite a good option , i am planning to do the same . and from the safety point of view , was it safe for u and your belongings??

yes there r various options in hostels like 1 bed 2 bed kinda deal .....u can choose depending on ur budget. I booked online using google . i searched close to my university and also read various reviews about the location and hostel on google. safety depends on the city and area which u have to research.

Hostel sounds good...thanks...

u can even book motel @ 20 - 50 CAD per night near your college ;D

@Mr singh-that's too is a good option.....thanks...
