Resetting the 6 months stay duration with multiple entry visa

Hi,
My mother holds a multiple entry visitor Visa and she entered Canada in October this year. In November we went to Mexico for a week for vacation.
Does this reset the 6 month duration of her stay? How long can she stay in Canada now?

When we entered Canada from Mexico, the boarder officer did not explicitly say how long she can stay.

If you were not told nor a stamp in the passport, it is six months. Be aware that this won't always happen; if your mom is in Canada for a long time, she may be reduced in admission or refused entry.
