Hi All,

I'm resending my application today. the reason I got returned application because of a wrong language proof.
Anyway should I resend the same application form that was returned? some of the documents like application form, employment certificate and etc has a received stamp and can I still used the same photo? it was taken last august 2014.

The returned letter does not mentioned anything about resending the same application form.

Thanks.

asagalen,

Can you explain more about what was exactly wrong about the language proof you originally included ? Did CIC clearly explain to you why was it was not acceptable proof ?

@ asagalen,

CIC Quote

The date a person signs the application form is the date of filing. Where the date on an application is more than three months old (90 days) when received (staledated) or where the date is a date into the future (postdated), the application will be treated as if it is unsigned. An unsigned application is not a duly completed application and will be returned to the applicant.

Same application may be used
It is not necessary for the applicant to submit a new application kit every time an application is returned for incompleteness. Unless the application is stale dated, post dated, unsigned or undated, the applicant may update the information on the current kit and re-sign and redate the application.

Having said that I think it is a good idea now;
1) update/verify the form used is current
2) use updated residency calculator (adding 2/3 months more physical presence)
3) include copy of letter you got from CIC, keep original with you.
4) Attach the new documents CIC has requested.
4) include a covering letter and mention that CIC requested files are attached
3) Call CIC if in doubt.

to reduce the chances of unseen problems again. CIC stamps are fine and ensure agents that those documents were verified earlier. Keep the documents added/changed (reason of return) separate than original documents.

I agree with donvalley
i spoke to one of the agents few days back. they said application returned means no application received.
thus you can either fill new application or send the same application if its not more than 90 days old. photos should be not more than 6 months old.
make sure to attach correct language proof.

What was your language proof you have attached? could you please explain?

Thanks for your inputs guys :)

My first application was returned because i had provided a languange proof that is not in the list of acceptable evidence. It was a Canadian benchmark language assessment(CLBA) result that used when I
applied for permanent residence back in 2008. Anyway i got the CELPIP General LS result.

I resent my application a while ago with new application forms :) goodluck to me ;D
