I am a second year student currently studying at an IIT in India. I have mailed professors to get a research internship under them. I have received acceptance from them.
What kind of visa is needed? Will a normal visitor visa (V1) suffice? [I already have a valid V1 visa]
2 possibilities:
1. The professor does not give any stipend and I pay for everything by myself
2. The professor pays some stipend to help me cover the flight and travelling costs
I already have a 10 year multiple entry V1 visa.
I have a close relative in the same city as the university I got accepted for internship.
