Hi,
I worked full-time (temporary staff) for 3 months as a Research Assistant for Univ. of Waterloo with PGWP after completing my masters. Can I use NOC CODE 4012 for this work as my duties match precisly with the duties mentioned for 4012 and also the lead statement aligns?

However, the employment requirements mentions that the person needs to be enrolled in a program at a University or College - www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=4012?

Please could you suggest whether I could still use NOC 4012 as I noticed somewhere that employment requirements for a NOC need not be applicable in certain cases.

that is essentially a student NOC, it would raise questions about the work experience.

It would be better to select an NOC related to the field in which you were researching.

All of the following NOCs come up with "research" as a key word -

Hi @yojorijo,
May I please know which NOC code worked for your case? I am also in a similar situation. I have recently got the research assistant position in one of the lab at the university after finishing my Masters degree, however, I am no more enrolled as a student at the university. In this case, will it be count as "NOC A" or "NOC B" level work experience.
Your input will be appreciated.

Thanks.
