May I know the requirement for PR renewal. What does the law requires for PR renewal for a PR holder that works for a Canadian firm but outside of Canada.
It depends how your work outside of Canada was arranged.
If you were hired for a job within Canada first and then at a later date transferred to a role outside of Canada, then you can count this time towards the PR residency requirement.
If you were hired for a job directly outside of Canada, then CIC most likely won't let you count the time towards PR and this will be counted as time spent outside of Canada.
