Requirement for parents sponsorship for 2014

Hi All,

Can someone please help with guidance to sponsor parents in canada for 2014. I'm permanent residence of canada and would like to sponsor my parents. CIC is only accepting 5000 applications.

1. income requirement?
2. process time appx?
3. Documents required.
4. When should i apply?
5. Where do i send documents to Mississauga office or Alberta?

You need LICO+30% according to your family size. Family size is you + spouse + # dependent children + # parents.

In order to get in under the 5000 accepted apps, you will need to apply within the first week of January 2014. Apps are all sent to Mississauga.

Also you will need to show the LICO+30% for 3 consecutive years, so should show 2010, 2011 and 2012 CRA notices of assessment proving your income for the January submission. CIC will later ask for income update for 2013 and possibly 2014 to make sure you are still meeting income levels.

Hello,

I have sponsored my wife and her application has not been finalized yet. Can I send in the application to sponsor my parents even though my wife's application has not been finalized?
