Required Police Certificate

Hi

I am currently in Canada and got ITA.

Previously, i worked in Dubai for a year but didnt stay in Dubai for 6 months constantly. Do i still need Dubai police certificate ? please help.

Did you stay for 6 months or more all together in Dubai? If yes then you need to obtain a police certificate!

Copied from CIC website: For example, if you visited, worked or lived in a country for two months, left for a few years, then returned for four months, that counts as spending six months there. In this case, you would need a certificate.

Can you please guide me how to get Dubai police certificate asap ? As i already got ITA. and i have only 58 days left to submit the application. Please advice.

Document everything as possible with regards on the process of how will you get the police clearance.

If you feel that you can't make it to their deadline, inform them right away of the situation. They allow extensions with valid reasons.

Hi Guys,

I'm in a bit of a predicament I received my ITA July 13 2016 and was getting ready to submit my e-APR when i noticed that i require an FBI Clearance report as i have visited the US on holiday multiple times and cumulatively it adds up to 6 month. I was not aware of this rule until now, so now I am applying for FBI clearance but this process take about 14 weeks and my work permit is about to expire so i have to submit my e-APR in order to apply for a work permit extension do you think CIC will give me an extension for FBI clearance? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You don't have to submit your police clearance when you submit your application. This can be done on later stages, they will ask for it. Send off your application without the police certificate and add it on once you receive it. If you are fussy about this you can compose a letter and explain the situation. They extend it for 60 days apparently.

They might, but in lieu of the PCC, you have to submit a letter of explanation and proof that you have applied...

IF YOU ARE GOING TO APPLY UAE POLICE CLEARENCE THAT NEED ALOMOST TWO MONTHS...
I AM IN EDMONTON AND I CLEAR ALL OF THIS SITUATION , I WAS ALSO IN DUBAI AND I DIDNOT LIVE 6 MONTHS BUT I FILL MY FORMS I WAS WORKING IN DUBAI THEN THEY ASK ME TO MY UAE POLICE RECORD AND I PROVIDE THAT.
