Required help: Change of Name before landing

Hi All,

This might sound silly question, wanted to understand if anyone has any info, what is the process for change of name before landing on Immigrant Visa in Canada.

While googling i learned it is possible; though one need to stay in canada for some duration, also depend on provinces.

Suggestions / opinions are welcome.

Your question is not silly but little confusing. Is your PR application is in process?.
If so you cannot change the name while it is in process.
If you are only planning to immigrate to Canada, you should change ( or correct ) the name in your passport and then apply for immigration. In such a situation you have to tally the names in all your certifications / credentials and any other documents with your current name.

Thanks for reply, i am done with medicals and send ppt for visa stamping. thinking before i land as an immigrant, can i change my name?

Though you are right in the perspective that i could have changed before all docs were send for the immigration process.

Lets wait if someone through some more light on this
