Requesting your complete documents record

Hi everyone,

I recently found out about an individual, who requested his complete record of documents from CIC. I don't know much about it. Is it possible to request a copy of all your documents (e.g., study visa applications, visit visa applications, until the PR application) ??
Please respond!! I am in much needed help!

I don't think so... I tried the same thing when trying to calculate the countries I had visited in the last 10 years. I asked border control agents in both Canada and the UK for a history. Neither could help me or knew where this information would be stored.

Are you able to ask this person if they were successful? Maybe a phone call to CIC would be your best option for a truthful answer...

Yes you can under either the privacy/or Access to information. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/form-imm5563.asp You would have to request a copy of the actual file, at each office outside Canada and to Ottawa for the files in Canada. You should get what they have, unless the file has been archived or destroyed.
