My PR is goining to expire in Dec 2010. I have done landing in 2005. I am still out of Canada and not able to move back due to my domestic problem. At the same time wanted to renew my PR. Is it possible that i can review my PR mentioning my personal problem, is yes then what is the process.
Your advise is requested.

1. You can't renew your PR card outside Canada.
2. Assuming you have been outside Canada for 4.5 years, your PR status is lost. You would either have to apply for a travel document to return to Canada, and the VO would decide if there are any Humanitarian & Compassionate reasons for issuing it. If it is refused, then you could appeal to the IAD.

Thanks for your advise, but before expiring which is in Dec can i enter in Canada or not? Please advise.

You can try to enter Canada but they will probably figure out as you try to enter that you do not meet the residency requirements. They will then give you two options, one is that you voluntarily give up your PR card and they may let you in on visit status or you can tell them that you want to appeal and they will then let you in for 30 days to make your appeal. Depending on your reasons for not being able to live in Canada, they may let you renew your PR but if you are still not ready to live in Canada, that would definitely have a negative impact.

What are the common questions asked by Immigration officer at airport. Are they compulsory put entry Stamp on passport on arrival, i heard that some time they stamp and some time no. Is it true? All friends are requesed to Please share your experience at airport while u are coming on PR.

Yes it is true. Some times they stamp and some times they do not. From my experience, most times they do not bother to stamp when you come in.

If you take the road, sometimes they do not even ask for your passport once you show them your PR.

Dear Friends
What are the chances of PR renewal if i applied for renewal before 730 days. How they confirm that some one has lived in canada or not.?

Dear Friends
what are the common question asked by IO on airport.
If passport is renewed, still need to keep the old with new or not?
I think no one can keep two passport even one is expired?
Please requesting candid advise.

They will ask for documented proofs such as univ enrollment, work docs, pay stubs.

apt leases, receipts, bills may not go thru really well cause anyone can do that for you.

@ the border they will ask for your PR and/or your passport.
If they inquire further they may question your PR status if you have been out for > 3 years.
I don't think they will ask for your old passport.
Never lie.

Minimum requirements is that you have been outside Canada for less than 1095 days in the previous 5 years or since you landed as PR if it was less than 5 years ago and that you are currently residing in Canada.

If you are not residing in Canada and your PR card is expired, you need to apply for a travel document to get back to Canada and then you can apply for a new PR card.

Right now, they say it's taking 123 days, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/canada/process-in.asp#pr_card
