Hi All,

I just received the passport request from the Canadian Immigration Office but it says on the form NOT to send the passport if, among other conditions, there has been a birth in the family. My dear daughter was born after we filed and the immigration authorities do not have any record of her. The Deadline to send the passports is June 1st 2009. What am I expected to do in this scenario?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You need to send them a letter telling them you have a new daughter and ask to add her to your file. You should have done this when your daughter was born.

When you send them a letter asking to add your daughter they'll send you a medical request for her and once that is done you'll be good to go.

Good Luck

1. You need to amend your application and you spouses, complete an application for the child, amend the IMM 5406 send a copy of the birth certificate and the passport as well as the fee $150. Then wait for medical instructions.
