Hi guys, i would really appreciate some help. I have an offer letter for advance diploma in Toronto, and i am 26 years old. I come from an African country and have completed my ACCA but on application, the college did not consider ACCA and Canada doesnt also value ACCA after the expiration of the MRA treaty, which i have no problem with. The course is business administration with accounting focus for managing businesses. I also have a brother who is on PGWP in canada who is my joint account holder. The statement shows there have been no transactions in the account for the last few months as it was an education fund account for us.

Here are the issues my agent is telling me.
1) the diploma course you have may cause an issue as i have an advance diploma in accounting
2) he wants me to also indicate the address of my brother as Uganda on the family form while i want to put it as canada.

He said these could impact my application.

Could these really impact my application any advice would be appreciated.

1. Correct. You need to show career and education advancement.
2. That is lying and misrepresentation. IRCC knows your brother is in Canada, and that you share a joint account. If found out, you could get a 5 year ban.

Thank you, that was what i also thought. So will it really affect my application if i tell him to put the correct address as i want, I feel like he may be saying so just

Regarding the course...they are two different courses and i need both for my aspirations. I mentioned this in my letter of purpose. Is it still likely to get rejected?

Have you done the same program in your home country. If ACCA, then taking a business admin program with accounting focus is not really expanding your education. The accounting courses will be courses you have already taken. Plus what business are you managing on your return? Many factors go into approval but course selection is a big factor.
