Good day all,
My wife and Children is presently seeking asylum in Canada
their case is yet to come up
I really want to join them as its been two years after
Can I do a tourist or visiting visa?
I need your advice please

Others can comment as well but would think very unlikely as they might suspect you will claim asylum as well. Which country are you and your family from ?

You would need to apply for a TRV. However the TRV is almost guaranteed to be refused because your wife and children have claimed asylum in Canada. You will most likely have to wait another few years before you will be able to join them.

no harm in applying but the tourist/visiting visa is for short term visitors, people who will go home back to their country after their visit. Because your family have claimed asylum its clear that they wish to stay here long term not short term. So they could assume you would as well to be with your family and likely refuse. But like I said you are free to apply and try your luck.

No you applying for a trv should not impact their asylum case. Their case would be judged on its own merits, I take it they have enough proof of persecution and have tried to relocate within Nigeria?
