A require suggestion or advice related to RGI, friend of mine applied for Rent-Geared-to-Income (RGI) housing more than a year ago, but they still haven't received any meaningful updates about their application status. Does anyone gone through;

• Does anyone know whether the City of Toronto provides regular updates on an application's status?
• Is there anything applicants can do to check their position on the waiting list or obtain more information about their application?

Wait list can be decades is some areas. The amount of supply doesn’t correspond to demand. It is also hard to predict wait list because people are waiting for different sized properties, some may require specialized units, etc. I would not be counting on accessing a property on the near future unless deemed and high priority case.
