Im living and working in Canada on the 2014 IEC, I am from N.Z. What are my options for extending my working visa? I also am dating a Canadian, so any possibilities in regards to that would be appreciated.
Thanks

You can't extend an IEC permit. You can change to visitor status to remain in Canada longer.

When does your permit expire?

You could ask your employer to apply for an LMIA & get another work permit.

If you have/will have 1 year work experience in Canada, at skill level A B or O, you could apply for PR through Express Entry, Canadian Experience Class.

Have a look at the PNP requirements for the province you are in.

If you live with your Canadian partner in a common law relationship for 12 months, you could apply for PR via spousal sponsorship.

There's a couple of suggestions to get you started :)

Permit expires in June. Pretty much all of the work related options you mentioned aren't possible for me. MY partner and I haven't lived together for that long either. Any other suggestions? Is there a De facto option in Canada?

Thanks in advanced.

The only other option I see is applying for another IEC (that is IF you qualify for another one).

Living together for 12 months (common law) *is* the Canadian version of De Facto ;).

I don't think you can apply for another IEC if you're from NZ, but do check.
