Hi i have to renew my PR card by August. My secondary ID, my BC driver's license, has my married name on it. I only change it on my driver's license and with Canada Revenue Agency. So now my driver's license doesn't match my passport and my PR card. I don't want to change my name on my passport since it's a German one and the process times are crazy. Should i change my name back to my maiden name on my driver's license? Or will they accept that as secondary ID if i enclose my marriage certificate which shows my husband's name and my maiden name?

If i do change it back to my maiden name, will immigration care that on all the notices of assessment it shows my married name?

Thank you,
Mel

It shouldn't matter, but why not go ahead and change your PR card to your married name? Matching it with your passport it not necessary and eventually you will have to renew your German passport, assuming you'll want your married name on it as well ...

I can't change it now, to change it I need my record of landing which I don't have. Processing time for that is 6 months which takes me to August, the month my PR card expires. I'll just send it in like that. Impossible to get through to the call center either.
