Renewing passport, expiration will change... Leave pool and re-enter when ready?

Hi,

I registered into the pool with a passport that expires this year. I went to renew it today and the new one will be ready in ~1 month
.
That means that if I get an ITA in the coming days, the expiration date on my profile will be different from that of my new passport.
Should I leave the pool and re-enter once I can update my profile with the new expiration date?

Till you get an ITA you can keep updating your profile. If you get an ITA before your new passport comes back, you can always include your new passport along with a letter explaining your case while filing for PR. (You would technically not be misrepresenting anything, since, till your old passport comes back to you cancelled, you still hold that passport for all identification purposes).

Now as passport was expiring in 8-10 months i have already renewed the passport after advise of my consultant.

now he is saying updating a passport now is not available, may be next time when CIC ask for any information.

please guide me if

1. How to update passport at this stage

2. Is it right move what I have done.
