Renewal of Visit Visa from within Canada

Hello All,

Does anyone has experience of renewing visit visa during stay in Canada?

my parents are in Canada right now on visit and their visit visa expiry is Sept 2024.
But from Canada they will go to Malaysia in Sept 2023 for 1 year and as per plan from Malaysia they will again visit Canada in Sept 2024.

my question is, is It possible to Apply for renewal of their visit visa right now within Canada?

Note that they will be applying for a new TRV (not a renewal).

The application must be processed outside of Canada. They cannot apply within Canada. Only limited people can apply from within Canada:
