hello everyone , i just completed my first year of education in Canada , My temporary residence visa is almost reaching its expiry date. It says in the website that if I send the application and documents by mail it will take 154 days. Which is almost 5 months, is this true ? If so how can i apply online which takes (51 days).

No dude. That's the wrong information. Can you grab me the link where it says that it will take 154 days to process the renewal case?
I suppose it would hardly take a month or month and a half to renew.

1. Are you asking about your TRV or your Study permit?
2. You can't renew a TRV in Canada, you have to apply to one of the Canadian offices in the US by mail. Here are the instructions for Buffalo. http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/buffalo/imm/visa_temp.aspx?lang=eng#REQUIREMENTSCANADA
3. You send your application for your study permit renewal to Vegreville. The processing time is 95 days by mail, 51 electronically.
