Renewal of expired PR visa

I had received Canada PR visa in 2012 but due to some family problem was not able to go to Canada.I want to shift to Canada now.

Q. Is it possible that I renew this PR visa in some way? If yes then how?

So did you land in 2012 or did you not come to Canada at all. If you did not come to Canada at all then your only option is to apply from the beginning again.

You cannot renew an "IM-1" visa or use your COPR document past the expiry date.
Are you, in fact, referring to the post-landing "PR Card" instead?
