My parents' PR cards expired on July 23, 2012. I sent their application in for urgent processing since they have tickets to travel in mid-October. We received a letter today saying they transferred the application to the CIC office in Toronto. We are really puzzled by this since they meet the requirements (been out of country for 1092 days - max they can stay out is 1095 days).
Anyone have any idea why the file may have been transferred? We sent all required docs.
Also, they were to return to canada in 2010 but my mother dislocated her shoulder and had retinal bleeding so treatment for these conditions prevented them from traveling. I even sent in doctors' notes stating when and what treatment was done.
Please advise/share your experienes.
