Yeah i have photos of previous issued
I always go to Seattle once in 2 months for a day trip
I will try,
I noticed so many time immigration officers at Borders most of the time they only saw my first page of RTD
They dont even open my visa page
and let me go under a minute
Maybe they have my record in the system ,But

Wait I don't mean to try and cross the border with the photos of previous issued. I mean go to the appointment with those photos to get a new US visa.

Crossing with photos in place of the real visa will likely get you into trouble. Also probably the old and new RTD numbers are not linked so the computers wouldn't know that you have a US visa at a glance if you show the new one.

I applied renewal for my RTD sept 12
I received today nov 6
I only got my new one
They didn’t returned my old one which have valid
US visa for another 8 years
What should i do? I really need for traveling purposes

If you need your old RTD you should have wrote a letter requesting the old RTD back because it has the visa.
I think you still can do it just hurry up because after some time they discard the old TRD.

I did when i mailed the application i sent in written and after that submitted the webform as well for that
And they only sent new one
Thank you i will try to call ircc again tomorrow today there system is down
I hope i get it ,before get destroyed

Better to call and clarify with them. But I remember in the paper with the new RTD states that if you submit originals and want them back, they will send apart, not same shipment.

But if you are planning to travel soon, better to call them and confirm.

Sorry I understood it was expired- so you did the right thing in sending the old rtd.
I also sent my old non expired rtd and requested in writing as a part of the application that they send it back because i have valid visas in it and they sent it back in the same shipment as the new one.
I would definitely recommend you contact IRCC ASAP to locate and send back the passport if they still have it.

Sorry I understood it was expired- so you did the right thing in sending the old rtd.
I also sent my old non expired rtd and requested in writing as a part of the application that they send it back because i have valid visas in it and they sent it back in the same shipment as the new one.

Did they sent you via purolator ?
I mentioned them in letter ,plus 2 weeks ago i mentioned them by webform as well
Today their system was down
Me and my mother we applied for renewal same time we sent our documents together in same courier
Her is still in process
And they courier mine today without my old RTd

Yes it was with Puralator.

I went on Friday to MP’s office
Because my Lawyer told me to go asap so they don’t destroy old one
I went to office The lady who works for for MP she was super rude to me with broken English i dont want to mention where she was from ,everyone know we are in canada
So, she was saying why you sent youre old one if you have visa you should done this that
She was telling me i was wrong, me who followed the instructions from ircc website and my lawyer helped
She said We cant help you ,you have to call ircc

I said i want to meet with MP i need appointment right now otherwise i will write letter and mention you as well and me and family will sign ,
After that she said i will to help you
Write youre info and we will contact ircc for you
I hope they do something

Ouch. Reminds us of our visit to the local police station in Canada to report a lost passport - got the same sort of thing - "I'd never send my passport in the mail" despite this being the legal requirement at the time. Granted police officers probably would be expected to know most about e.g. criminal law and perhaps less about immigration and immigration-adjacent laws like this. Even so, getting told that repeatedly, after protesting that we didn't have a choice and IRCC basically forced this on us, was quite disheartening indeed.

Hmm, I'm a bit surprised that the lawyer recommended this, as I was under the impression that while an MP could certainly enquire, there wasn't much they could do to actually speed things up. Do MPs even have a dedicated line to IRCC? Then again, I guess they're technically asking to delay something here (destruction of old RTD) rather than speed something up.

Perhaps this has become a "throw the kitchen sink and see what sticks" sort of situation. Normally I'd just say that trying for a new visa would be easier, but considering the environment down south nowadays, I can see why the lawyer would keep that as the last resort. (I'm not the only one worried either, see for example https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...tected-person-in-canada.875025/#post-11099241 )
