Hello,
I need to renew my PR card and was wondering about the certification of copies. I understand that I need certified copies of all translated documents but what about my or my partners passport? My foreign passport is in english, do I still need a certified copy? I also need to send a copy of my partners canadian passport and his citizenship certification, but I certanly don't need a certified copies, right? Or the copy of my old PR card?
Sorry but this is all very confusing to me.
Thank you for your help!

So are you claiming time spent outside of Canada accompanying a citizen as part of the PR card renewal demonstrating that you meet the residency obligation ? Other than that and others can correct me do not see why you would need anything from your partner to support the renewal if not claming time outside the country. If you are outside of Canada assume you know you cannot renew a PR card from outside of the country.

Yes exactly, I am living with my husband (canadian) in Europe and thats why I need to send his passports, his citizenship certificate, my old PR card, our marriage certificate, my passport etc. And yes, we will travel to Canada and thats when I send the application to renew my card.

So there a 3 different types of documents for me and I have questions about two of them:
Canadian documents (which are all in english): Is a normal copy enough?
Foreign documents that are in english, so I don`t need to translate them but do I need a certify copy or just a regular copy?
Foreign documents that are in german: I already know that I need a translation and a certify copy

Thank you for your help!
