Hello,

I'm renewing my PR card now. But I am confused with the dates in the Work and Education History section.

I'm currently studying, so between two semesters, there are several or ten days for rest if we strictly calculate the end date of the 1st semester and the starting date of the 2nd semester.
For example, the 1st semester ended on April 28, and the 2nd semester started on May 3. Thus, there are 4 free days (From April 29 to May 2).

Question 1:
How should I fill the form in the section of Work and Education History section?
Should I add the unemployment period from April 29 to May 2 between these two semesters?

Question 2:
My other question is that I have applied for citizenship, but the citizenship form doesn't require dates but only requires months for the Work and Education History section.
So I ignored these several free days since April and May are consecutive.
Is this correct?

Thanks in advance!
Any info is appreciated.

You are overthinking. They don't care about the few days in between semesters and will treat these as continual.

My comment above demonstrated nicely by this fact: if they only ask for MONTHLY info on activities, it confirms they do not care about short breaks in between activities (eg of a few weeks or less).

Thank you very much for your detailed response!

So for the ending date of the semester and the starting date of the next semester, which dates should I fill?

For example, the 1st semester ended on April 28, and the 2nd semester started on May 3.

Option 1:
period 1: 1st semester ended in April 29
period 2: and 2nd semester started on May 2
leaving several days' break.

Option 2:
period 1: 1st semester ended in April 30
period 2: and 2nd semester started on May 1
leaving no empty days

Thanks in advance.

There are some things you're just going to have to do on your own, using your best judgment.
