Renew passport while PR application is processing?

I have a passport expiring next March, and I only had my AOR in May. I probably will have to renew it before receiving PPR. Just wondering if anyone has done the same thing, and what should I expect?
I assume if I renew the passport before I get PPR, I will need to write an LOE, and send out both old and new passports?

And what if I get PPR before renewing the passport?

Hi @Shin6796 . I am in same dilemma. I gave my pp for renewal and next day I got PPR.
I have given passport for copr stamping but today I received gckey update that it has been approved but with old passport number ! Now am worried that my visa will be issued with the old passport number in the visa.
Any inputs will be helpful. Thanks

I'm not sure I can help you any further, I still didn't get PPR, so I ended up renewed my pp, and uploaded the new one to the application.
