I am an international student in Canada who just got a job offer from a multinational company based in the UK. What are the things I should look out for?
They have told me a few things but i want to know for myself

As long as the company does NOT have a presence/division in Canada, and you would NOT be remunerated from anyone in Canada, you should be fine. A person working remotely via the internet or phone, for a company abroad, does not need a work permit.

You are required to pay taxes on your international income. Do you have a WP in Canada? the UK? If not you can’t work remotely for a UK company from Canada.

Google Canadian tax regulations. If the UK company wants to pay you directly in Canada (if you don’t have a UK WP) then you need to look into the various ways to structure how you get paid in Canada. Would look into the US part of the forum to look at the o for getting paid by a foreign employer.
