I am a full-time masters student in Quebec and I have recently been offered an unpaid remote internship by a company based in Germany. While I am an E.U. Citizen and clear to work for the company, would I be allowed to work for them remotely (and unpaid) while I am in the masters program (they want me to start this month during my winter semester)? Will I only be able to work for them part-time even if it is an unpaid internship? Would the internship also count as off-campus work if it is unpaid? Would I have to report the internship on my taxes if it is unpaid? Or would I be outright forbidden from taking the internship as it would violate the conditions of my study permit?

If it is not part of a Canadian organization, you are free to do whatever; you aren't engaging in illegal work. It can count toward foreign experience, and you don't need to report anything to CRA.
