Hi All

I have also similar timeline . AR Oct 2020 , AOR Dec 2021 , medical Nov 2022 and no update after that , For outland applicant how long it taking after the medical request is requested by IRCC and if the medical is cleared can we at lease ensure that will get the PPR
There is no strict timeline for backlog applications....
In my case, I sent repeated case specific enquiries to my visa office after every 40 days, to know the status of my application....after I passed remeds in December, 2022.....
And I got update on my application in response to one of the enquiry only....
And recently I received PPR...

Do send repeated case specific enquiries through webforms. Only then you can draw their attention to your application.

Timeline (longest ever), express entry outland.

Jan 20, 2021: AOR

Within a week or two: Medicals/police clearances

March 31, 2022: Request for new passport copy (old one was expiring), FBI clearance once again, financials once again

July 10, 2023: Remedical Request

July 18, 2023: Remedical updated to Completed

August 18, 2023: RFV

The whole process has drained me. I would like to add that my brother who lives in Canada had to appeal to the local MP to get the file moving. Otherwise, I believe I would have never heard back.

My MP helped get things moving for me a couple of times over the years. Even though I only got status updates from the MP's office, I suspect that the fact they enquired, definitely helped get things moving

Hi everyone,

I received an update on 5th June 2023 on GCKey that says:

Latest update:
Final decision - April 3rd, 2023:Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

I have since been calling IRCC and I get told each time that all stages are completed and to wait for PPR but no PPR email since more than two months now.

Already tried to contact MP but no response.

Anyone please help me on steps I can take please! I'm outland and PVO is CIO Sydney, SVO is Halifax IRCC

painful. Ircc should be hanged for this miserable treatment with the applicants. At least there should be a cutoff limit of all these security screening.

Hi,
My application status shows
Review of additional documents: Dec 18 2023 we are reviewing the additional documents provided
Interview: you do not need an interview. we will send you a message if this changes
Biometrics: we do not need your fingerprints. we will send you a message if this changes
Background check: We are processing your background check. we will send you a message if we need more information
Need to know whether my application is in reviewing additional documents or in background check
whether review of additional documents changes to additional documents not needed.
Any idea how long it takes for PPR
Is there anyone with same scenario
