I need to understand the relevance of NOC post PR.
1. Does CIC specify the NOC on PR card or somewhere else? And so does a PR holder is restricted to work in a designated NOC profile only?
2. Why is CIC so stringent about FSW express entry applicant's NOC selection, even when NOC level(A or B or C) or NOC number(different job profile) does not have an impact on CRS scores. The only condition to be met is 1 or more years of full time experience. To be clear I am specifically asking about FSW applicants without any job offer or PNP.

Thanks

PRs are free to work under any NOC - there are no restrictions. FSW program has historically had a NOC-fixation because Canada wanted to impose 'entry barrier' based on occupation categories - they wanted certain kinds of skill and did not want other kinds. EE is a very different way of looking at immigration (designed and expected to be almost completely market-driven with minimal federal intervention) but FSW, for purely historical reasons, continues to determine basic eligibility for a foreign professional. It is highly watered down though.

This is a very good question, i would also like to know the answer to...

Having said that, IMO, the purpose of NOC and its subcategories 0/A/B are just to ensure that only people from certain fields/skill with a minimum level of experience in that field (1 yr. in this case, the more the better, until 3 yrs.) are given a PR and subsequently made citizens who can have a positive impact/contribution on their economy and have a demand /jobs available for within the country.

Beyond that specially after PR is issued or Landing completed or citizenship is awarded they care two hoots...and probably so not even mentioned/tagged (for life)on their PR and later on citizenship cards.

Would be interesting to hear what others think and have to say on this!
