Bad luck !
But Dont take it as rudeness but Somehow I feel like you didnt work die hard in providing your job duties and you lacked in experience in preparing Job duties. In my Second Job I quit the job before I got my confirmation but I mentioned all the duties I performed. Nowadays people are mentioning duties they seldom perform which outnumbers the place provided in the cic form. this is why adding additional pages for job duties has become a normal issue and if Immi officers dont find additional pages and more than 6-7 detail description, they find the duties very substandard.

Send again, and talk to an experienced consultant of CAN Immi before sending again.
And ya, send a FAX or email to return your original papers.

Hello sdesai,

I'm sorry to hear about your rejection. Since I went through the same stage, thought I'll share my two cents' worth with you. I was rejected in FSW at the second stage because I did the same mistake of taking the job responsibilities lightly. Like you, I also thought the onus of showing the NOC eligibility ended with Sidney, but I learned the hard way that was not the case. You can check my previous posts to see the details (believe it was in June/July of last year). I got the refund back rather quickly, I think after 3-4 months, but I got the IELTS back only last month, after numerous follow-ups with CHC via case-specific e-mails. I even offered to go there directly to collect it since I had to attend the Quebec interview in ND anyway (subsequently I got through that and am now waiting for visa stamping). They did not allow that. They did not return the transcripts or PCC saying it's their property now.

After my rejection, I tried to appeal giving detailed job description and responsibilities, a letter from my supervisor and payslips, but it seems once a rejection is made there is no revoking that decision. I feel you can apply by yourself since you have a pretty good idea where you went wrong, but this time leave no stone unturned. Get as much evidence as you can for the job - prove your job responsibilities, pay slips, job offer/contract, etc. - for the second stage, I mean. Since you got through to Sidney the first time, you can mention that you already got through there on (the date) and you were rejected at the second stage because you missed giving all available information to prove your experience.

Good luck!

Hi Charmeuse,

I've been also rejected on the 2nd stage of immigration.
I received rejection letter (together with University transcript, without the envelope) in December 2009 & refund on January 10,2010.
Do I have chance to get the translated notarized copies of all my documents back? The original IELTS result card?
From your post the answer seems to be negative... please confirm.
Thank you very much.

Hi Desai,
Thanks for your info on PCC..
I am not sure if sending employment letter to NS is good idea. I am not even sure if they are going to look at that letter coz eligibilty review is not part of their Role.It will be your local visa office who will finally assess your application.
But i think its worth a try and as charmeuse said don't leave any stone unturned this time..
This is purely my view based on expereince on immigration in UK and Canada..
But i think its worth re-trying..
Good luck..

Deep..

Hi charmeuse, Thank You for your information which is very very helpfull. Wish you a very good luck for your visa.
Now I will have to contact London CHC with regards to all my original docs (mainly IELTS Result, Previous Employment Letter etc.)
I am almost prepared for reapplying again to Sydney, NS but waiting for my new credit card which is run out next month.
DeepakBabbar, Thanks for your comment to and wish you good luck with your application.
Regards Desai

@ssy81, I only got the refund and the original IELTS back. None of the notarized documents or university transcripts were given back. I had submitted a copy of the transcripts attested by my college. That's why probably it wasn't given back. The original IELTS they'll definitely give back. The rest, I don't think so. Anyway, no harm in asking. So, go ahead.

Economic Class form > 11. Work Experience:
Main Duties: I have mentioned my main duties briefly (see below) in the space available:

"Assigning and prioritizing development tasks and supervising their execution by enforcing project processes and policies. Assistance in formulating estimates and time lines for projects."

Should I explain these in more detail on an attached sheet in my initial application or the above description is enough?

My occupation is "Software Development Manager".

Thanks again,
Saim

hello msaim,

I think this is minimum a project manager will do..
Don't be mean while explaining your job reponsibilites to CIC and explain them with Proud and details that you were/are doing this..

Use additional sheet to write number of duties. don't get into too much details..

Hope these words help.. :P

Deep..

Thank you DeepakBabbar !

I really appreciate your help.

charmeuse & DeepakBabbar

I am almost ready for reapply and just want to double check whether it is required to write cover letter for first rejection means explaining that i got initial approval first from NS and got rejection at local CHC based on NOC and now i am submitting more details for duties & responsibilities under my current role.

Please advice guys so i can decide before i post my application again.
Thank You Desai

IMO, you should include a cover letter that mentions you were approved earlier from NS. That would ensure another approval from there. Again, it's what I feel, dunno what the visa officer would think. Make sure you elaborate on your job responsibilities and duties.
