Hi All,

I am new to the forum and would like to ask a question, please.
My application for permanent residence (PhD stream) was rejected since I did not provide enough relevant info in the application package. I would now like to submit a new application which contains the missing info.
I wonder if CIC mail the rejected package back to me, or do I need to collect all the submitted documents again?

I will appreciate any help figuring this out,
Thanks,
Mur

CIC should mail everything back to you. However it might take several months for you to receive this information back.

Well, actually I have a follow-up question then :)

How recent the documents that I submit with my application should be? For example, I have a letter from the university approving my status, dated by September 2012. Can I still use it by the time the application is back and I resubmit it again, or should I start working on getting a more recent one? Also, how recent the proof of funds should be? Is there an "expiration date" for these things?

Thanks a lot of all the help!

you should start a fresh application with more proof that make your application rejected last time, keep in mind that they have a copy of all what you wrote in your previous application

Good to know, thanks for pointing this out!

The problem last time was with my employment letter. I will definitely fix that one. Should I also get a new letter from the university or should the one from September 2012 be sufficient? I did not find any instructions on how "fresh" such things should be.

Thanks!

you cant just send all the the same things you send last time, you should moderate and try to be more update, such as your university and any job oporti=unities if possible
