Reissue of Passport after receiving ITA.

Hi

I have just received my ITA 12 days before. After receiving my ITA i have applied for reissue of passport as my current Passport validity was getting expire in Oct 18. While I am arranging all documents i want to know what is the next step as to how to update my new passport number? What are the consequences and will this effect my express entry profile? as my IELTS results,ITA are based on old passport number and my medical reports,PCC will be based on my new passport.

Please suggest as to what to do next? what are the consequences and how to update new passport number?

no problem with that. As its ITA status, you could update the new passport details in application.
Just provide an explanation letter as a supporting document at end along with old passport copy.

I updated my child passport like this only.

The only issue i faced is, i got the entry period based on first passport's expiry date. Which means, may be once you get COPR, you may need to enter before oct 18.
