Hi Guys, I have a question. My NOC is in regulated occupation.I dont have a license.I graduated from a community college in toronto and started working.I am planning to apply soon for the CEC.I sit really mandatory to have a license?.

Ah... sorry, I think you're going to need to be more specific, what occupation/NOC? Generally, a regulated occupation is one that you cannot lawfully work in without a license, so... Yeah, you kind of need to be on the right side of the law for CEC.

So, where do you get that it is a "regulated" occupation (like doctors and nurses?)

Well I just looked up in workingincanada.gc.ca.My title is audio-video service technician and noc code is 2242.So am OK?

The only thing HRSDC says is that voluntary certification does exist. An employer can require that, but that does not mean it is "regulated."
